Wednesday evening through Thursday night is it expected to snow locally up to 20-30 cm in 24 hours. The warning is for areas above 300 m.a.s.l. The temperature increases throughout the afternoon, first in the south. Vulnerable infrastructure can be affected due to accumulation of snow. Travel time may increase on some journeys. Local driving conditions may become difficult. Blowing snow at higher altitudes causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads. Vulnerable installations and objects should be protected. Allow some extra time for transportation and driving. Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors.
